2hr Coaching
This service will give us the time to look at all aspects of your racing ability and focus on the areas that will best help you progress. We will use telemetry and drive on track together to help find you those tenths.
Car & Track Combo
Get help on a car and track combo. We will work together on track at the same time, whether to teach you the track, or to improve your lap times, by looking at your lines, braking points, telemetry and much more.
Sim Setup
Get the most out of your sim setup with help dialing in your Wheel base, Brakes, Force Feedback, Field of View, Graphics, Windows and much more.
Streaming Setup
Want help getting a high quality stream set up for Twitch or YouTube? I will help set you up and balance the looks against a smooth fps.

I just finished my 2 hours with David. What a learning experience it was. David found my brakes needed drastic changes. We worked on braking, turn in and throttle which translated into quicker and more consistent lap times. This was the best teaching session I have ever had. Thank you David!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And David knows how to paint. I had managed to get some reasonable laptimes out of the car already, knew I was doing something wrong, but couldn't quite identify it for myself. David noticed a few habits/tendencies that were costing time, and gave detailed explanations for why they were costing time and gave pointers on the techniques and psychology needed to adjust. I think the attached image speaks volumes as to the success of his methods, a trace comparing one corner at the start of the session with how it was by the end. David was kind, thoughtful - as well as evidently useful. Normally I'd recommend such services, but since there is only one of him, I want to make sure he always has timeslots available ๐ But seriously, if time is money, David saved me hundreds of dollars worth of experimentation and annoyance trying to figure things out. Stop reading, get booking!

After iRacing for many years, watching youtube videos on setting this up and that up, I was thrilled to come across David's FOV Calculator a few weeks ago and to learn he had a Discord Channel! I have bit by bit upgraded my kit and with a new PC arriving today I took advantage of his 90 minute session where he assists you with all of your settings. We dialed in my Huesinkveld pedals, Fanatec force feed back settings, went through EVERY single option in iRacing. Most helpful was tweaking the multiple INI files within iRacing. Even though my new PC was custom built by Ironside PC (and they did a very good job), David was able to identify settings within Nvida that unlocked the full performance of my new Geforce 3080. His fee for the 90 minutes of his time and expertise is a BARGIAN! After many years of enjoyment with iRacing, it is like a brand new experience. Thank you David... So, had my 1st coaching session with David last night on my streaming setup. Heโs was just incredible he knew what to do in an instant! Something that Iv struggled to do for months since I started. My stream now is looking amazing and it gives me more confidence not only when I stream but when Iโm racing to, knowing everything is in order and working correctly. First session tonight. I've had VRS telemetry turned on since I started with the service but never really knew how to interpret what I was looking at. Using the telemetry David pointed out issues with my braking. My brake pressure curve is basically backwards which is affecting corner exit. A track like Motegi really exposed the flaw. I was able to improve a couple of corners. I have to practice practice practice the braking and keep checking the telemetry to make sure I'm not falling back into old habits.

So not long finished my first coaching session with David and boy it was good really enjoyed the session, we worked on sorting some braking issues I.e not braking straight and not enough braking in places also sorted settings with my wheelbase and sprits and some FOV changes, would highly recommend anyone thatโs thinking about taking session with David to do so ๐๐

Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Well, 40 years of racing IRL, some habits are hard to break, but when David SHOWS you the evidence of what he is saying, it really sinks in. I know I have a lot of track time ahead to use the new techniques fully. Thank you Sampsons!!

Well I just finished my first training session with David. He found some bad habits that I was doing that I didnt even know I was doing. Within only a few laps ,my time was 1 sec faster. I finally have a direction on what I need to work on. I will work on these techniques and I will get another session with David to see my progress and then David can analyze what I'm doing again. This was GREAT , Ive been trying to figure out what im doing wrong for a long time and now I have some direction. Thank you David and I will see you soon for another session. ๐

Well I just finished an amazing session with David so helpful and so many little details to sort with new pedal good reconfig did a 2.18.717 at spa in the AMG,got down to a 2.17.899 then last lap with damage after getting used to new brake pedal was a 2.18.640 so happy, if you are thinking of getting training with David do so amazing and super helpful

I completed a 2 hour session with David this morning and I was stunned with the amount of detail we went in to! We exceeded all my expectations. We didnt just discuss driving habits, styles and areas to work on, we looked at sim rig setups, found some issues that need to be fixed before even jumping back in the car to work on those bad habits.I went in to it wondering where I needed to improve, I left with a list of things I need to do that will only help me going forward. David isnt just a super nice guy like everyone already knows, he has a great skill in being able to describe and express his points that is easy to understand and leaves you with more answers than questions. I will for sure be booking some more sessions in the future, mainly to show just how much I've improved! ๐ I would encourage any one thinking about it to book a session, then again I dont want David making too many aliens or I still wont have a chance! EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS (and the expectations were quite high) Had to start the review that way after a funny exchange with David at the end of the session. Here's some important highlights: 1. In a 90 min session, David increased the value of my hardware (pedals, wheelbase, monitor) by several hundreds of dollars (maybe $1,000) 'just' by correcting a LOT of settings that I had wrong or were just not really optimized. 2. Yes, David truly is every bit as polite and kind and patient and supportive as he comes across in videos, chat, Twitch, etc. 3. See #2, it's that true. It's not even really about whether or not it is "worth the money" to book coaching with David, it's about whether or not it is a worthwhile investment in your time and energy... and the answer is an unambigious YES!!! Thank you David, I will be back for more!

If your thinking about a session with David, stop thinking and just do it. Just completed a 2 hour session with David, and by far is the the best value I have received in my almost 3 years in the sim. David found so many issues I had to include, brake settings, load cell cuttings, throttle settings, FOV issues, and just so many bad habits I have. To start with he immediately knew I had brake issues, with just some basic brake setting changes I picked up over a second on the next lap. David is very detailed oriented, and instructs you like your part of his team. I have had other coaching sessions in the past, but David brought it to the next level, and I never felt like I was being coached by someone that was just doing it for the income. He utilizes the telemetry in a way I have never seen in a coaching session, and I learned so much. Itโs not just about turning laps, and having a coach tell you different random things on each corner youโll never remember, he utilizes the telemetry to really find the deep underlying issues holding you back. David genuinely cares about seeing your success,and growing the community. Donโt hesitate, book a session with David now. I have a ton to practice and will be back, and hopefully more involved with the sampsoid community in the future.
